Managing your career is linked to managing your work relationships

My colleague said “He just needs to trust me.”  She was talking about our boss and how he wasn’t supporting her idea.  I disagreed with her completely.

She didn’t understand that it was her responsibility to develop a trust relationship with our boss, to understand the challenges he faced and to help him reach the department goals.

Once she got in synch with him (and got over herself), he began to trust her.  Harmony.
